Rec 1 is a co-ed class for all beginner athletes. In this class children will start learning the foundational skills for gymnastics that will benefit both boys and girls gymnastics. Along with gymnastics skills we teach other skills that are beneficial to the personal development of all children, including: how to fall safely, body control, body awareness, listening, team building and focusing in a busy environment.
After passing their Rec 1 evaluation, athletes are invited to join our Rec 2 class. In this class, we continue to strengthen foundational gymnastics skills while introducing a focused progression on the boys' events: Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and High Bar. The skills developed in Rec 2 are designed to prepare athletes for advancement to our Boys' Pre-Team program.
After successfully passing their Rec 2 evaluation, athletes have the opportunity to advance to our Rec 3 class. In this class, we continue to build on the girls' events: Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor. Rec 3 serves as our Pre-Team level, where gymnasts begin learning skills that prepare them for future participation on our competitive teams.
We have open enrollment for all programs. We require you to commit your child to an entire month. We prorate if you sign your child up mid month.
